July 15, 1789
Its been a day since the Storming of the Bastille. After I locked my shop I decided to buy a meal. Last night, I walked into a restaurant and the seats were literally full. The only one left was a table with two seats, but a guy was sitting in one of them. So I reluctantly sat with the guy. I was curious and getting bored so I just talked to him and it turned out that this guy's name was Bernard Arnaud. He seemed like nice guy as we carried out the conversation. He was a very young man at the age of 21. He was very skinny and it seemed he had not eaten a lot. We talked about how horrible life was gradually becoming a nightmare. We both shared similar values. We were both merchants except that he only sold paintings. Later on, I just realized he was the merchant nearby my shop. I was always wondering who ran that clothing shop right next to mine. We talked about the terrible economy. The stupid king and the spoiled wife were just ruining France. Someone was needed to stop those lousy corrupt leaders from destroying our lives. Our lives were just deteriorating with the bread prices going up so rapidly. My stock of goods are tumbling down therefore, the price of supplies have been soaring high in the sky. My family would be on the brink of starvation sooner or later. Everyone's been inspired by the way America gained independence from the Britain. The declaration of the independents said that everyone had inalienable rights. We were looking for day where we would have those crucial rights and it seems that day is not too far off. The storming of the Bastille was like an answer to our prayers. "Hey Bernard did you hear about The Storming of the Bastille?" I said. "Yeah lets join the people and fight the monarchy for our freedom," said Bernard. From that day we were both part of the revolution.

Life was improving slowly after the national assembly recently created "The Declaration of The Rights of Man". That document had all things that we wanted. There were many emígres that were leaving France and were going to other absolute monarchy countries. The country was getting out of control. I was joined the national assembly recently and it was time for us to change the way it had been for years. On January 1793, I was closing my shop and then, a customer came by asking why I was closing the shop so early. I told Guillaume Rousseau that there was a public execution of Louis XVI. The national assembly had arrested Louis XVI. Louis made a last effort of ditching France, but he failed. He didn't know where it was so I lead him to the execution place. At the execution place we were ready for the execution. Louis XVI tried to escape France earlier, but he failed to do so. Therefore, he was currently standing before the guillotine. There was an enormous crowd here at the execution and I was next to Guillaume. Louis XVI made his last words. I couldn't wait for the execution of Louis XVI. The burden that he had laid on our country. Our country was in debt due to his spoiled kid. Louis XVI approached forward and slowly crouched down. He places his head on the wooden platform. I heart was pounding and the sensation of seeing this event was extraordinary. The guillotine fell down, but unfortunately for the king it did not go through his head completely. Some guy had to pick it up and pull it down again. Finally, his head was sliced off. I was thrilled. I was just proud of what we had finally achieved after all those gruesome days. That day felt like a dream.

I went to the bakery shop next door. The owner of the bakery, Henri Chevalier, talked to me about Robespierre. "Hey Robespierre has been ruling for a while after Louis XVI." "Yeah I know, its been getting crazy!" I said. It was seriously getting insane. Robespierre was a fella from the Jacobins side. He was making great changes and he promised to protect the revolution. He was doing ok till now. He's become outrageous and we demand his arrest. He even said he was going to get rid of religion. The church of Notre Dame was gonna turn into a place of reasoning. Everyone thought his actions were completely absurd and ridiculous. Out of all the things we would never let that rascal expurgate religion. Henri had the same opinion as mine. He thought Robespierre was insane as well. We both ran outside and decided to join the crowd that was trying capture Robespierre. The national assembly's troops were going to capture Robespierre, but we went to take a look. There was a large fight between Robespierre 's troops and ours. Gun shots were fired all over the place. The whole place turned into a blood feast. Gendarme Merda finally shot Robespierre, but he didn't die. The troops captured Robespierre. He was sent to the national assembly. Another tyrant was down and thank God he was captured I would have never been able to see bible again.

Epilogue (After a few years when Napoleon comes to Power)

Life has been going around in every directions possible since the French Revolution. Well after all that nonsense that started from Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette its seems that now its been settled. For a while it the country was run by royalists and Jacobins, but General Napoleon created a coup d'etat against them. Anyways things did get much better than it did back then. The bread prices were still pretty high. But, I was still very happy because got rid of the two spoiled leaders that ruined our country. Although we ended feudal rule the system wasn't much different either. I was looking forward to getting some of the church's land, but it was all gobbled up by the nobles. I hope Napoleon makes changes that will help us.
